How to set up an Archive Pipeline in MeasureSquare CRM

In this article, we will cover how to create an Archive Pipeline and explain its practical applications. This applies to MeasureSquare CRM. 

An Archive Pipeline is used for managing and organizing projects or deals that are no longer active. There may be scenarios when the last stage in a pipeline has an overwhelming number of old or inactive projects which makes the pipeline appear cluttered:


Some practical applications for an Archive Pipeline include:
  1. Organizational Clarity: Streamlines active pipelines by transferring completed, on-hold, or inactive projects to an archive
  2. Data Retention: You can retain information without interfering with active projects. 
  3. Resource Management: You can optimize resource allocation to projects that require immediate attention
  4. Performance Analysis: Archived data can be used to review past performance and inform future decision-making strategies.

To create an Archive Pipeline, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to ⚙️Settings
Step 2: Select Pipelines & Stages
Step 3: Select New Pipeline to create a new pipeline



Step 4: Fill out the required fields such as the pipeline name and stages

You can set multiple Won/Lost stages to represent different years or even categorize them by the quarter (1Q, 2Q, 3Q, 4Q) 

Step 5: Click 'Save' 




Step 6: Go to Projects view and hover to the pipeline stage. Check the box multi-select the projects that will be transferred to the Archive Pipeline

Step 7: Select "Change Pipeline" and choose the newly-created Archive pipeline. This will transfer all your selected projects to that pipeline




Once you navigate to your Archive Pipeline, you can drag your projects to the desired stage.
