How To Share Your Third-Party Excel Product Mapping With Your Team

Background on Importing 3rd Party Excel files

MeasureSquare 8 allows you to import your products from third parties, such as QFloors/QPro, that allow you to export products to a Microsoft Excel sheet. In the even that the exported Excel sheet doesn't match Measure Square's product database format, you will need to use our Import 3rd Party Excel File feature in order to make it compatible with Measure Square. MeasureSquare 8 allow users to save this profile mapping so that they can import their third-party products repeatedly without needing to set the mapping all over again. This step is also covered in the previously linked video at the 0:59 timestamp.

Sharing 3rd Party Excel Import Profiles with Others

For users who are part of a larger team, profile mappings can be shared so that the entire organization can simply select the profile and import products without need to set the mapping. This means time savings and product consistency not only for individuals, but across all members of a team. To do this, please follow these steps:

1. Right-click Product/Services, then go to Import/Export > Import 3rd Party Excel




2. Click Export Current Profile and download the mapping Profile as a .m2prdmap file. Send this file to your team members.




3. Your team can import the .m2prdmap file in MeasureSquare 8 and proceed to import their products.
