How to manage my Preferences in MeasureSquare CRM

In this article, we will cover how to manage your Preferences in the System Settings

This article applies to MeasureSquare CRM

Steps on how to access the Preferences Page:
  1. Step 1: Click System Settings
  2. Step 2: Go to Preferences



General: Manually input the Default Markup/Margin to factor in your sales price when you create your Quote or Bid from your diagram.



Project: Manage your project by moving the order of your project tabs along with selecting/deselecting your project tabs for your Projects.


When you deselect your tabs, your deselected tabs will be moved to the right of your selected tabs and it won't show up in your Project View Page.

This is what the change would look like in your Project View Page.




Diagram: When you toggle on the Can create stone diagram, you can import projects from MeasureSquare Stone. 


Quote: Allow edits to your Quote after your Quote has been approved (when toggled on) along with having your Quote updated after making changes via pop-up message for your diagram that's apart of your project. 
You can set the Default Expired Date by manually inputting the number of days after the Estimate Date.





Purchase Order: Allow edits/modifications to your Purchase Order after it has been approved for your project.





Work Order: Allows creating numerous Installation Schedule automatically when creating a Work Order, updating Installation schedule when making changes/edits in your Work Order and populating instruction from inclusion & exclusion when it is created from Quote.





Invoice: Allow edits to your Invoice after it being approved, allow auto populating the "Terms and Conditions" from predefined template when the Term Name matches an existing Terms Template Name, and set the Default Due Date to Auto or Fixed. 




Change Order: Allow changes/edits to your Change Order after approval in your project.




Bid: Allow changes/edits to your Bid after approval along with having your bid updated after making changes for your attached diagram, and allow keeping markup/margin when changing the cost of your line items.

Diagram Update:
  1. Update the cost price of the line item after updating Diagram: This option will be toggled on/off if you want your cost price of the line to automatically update after you make changes to your Diagram when you update the cost price of your product(s).
  2. Keep the cost price of the line item after updating Diagram: This option will be toggled on/off if you want to keep your cost price of the line item to be the same after you edit your Diagram when you update the cost price of your product(s).
Keep Markup/Margin:
  1. Recalculate sales price based on markup/margin when importing: This option will be toggled on/off if you want your sales price to recalculate based on the percentage that is inputted for your markup/margin when you import your Diagram.
  2. Use the sales price of the line item when importing: This option will be toggled on/off if you just want to use the sales price of the line item from your Diagram when you import it into your project.
If you change the percentage of your Markup, then the percentage of your Margin will change
If you change the percentage of your Margin, then the percentage of your Markup will change
When you toggle on Display unit cost per folder, it will display the total cost items inside of each folder.
You can set the Default Expired Date by manually inputting the number of days after the Estimate Date.
When you toggle on Default Worksheet Others, you can set the adjustments with its desired percentage rate for your bid worksheet.



SOV: Allow edits to your SOV/payment application after approval along with allowing taxes when creating your invoices and manually input the Default Retainage % for your SOV.




Installation Schedule: Allow updates to your matched Work Order when your Installation Schedule is updated via edits by notifying your customer via email when you're adding Installation Schedule for your project and setting up your Working Hours for the Installation process.
