MeasureSquare CRM Integration with Zapier

MeasureSquare CRM Integration with Zapier

In this article, you'll learn how to seamlessly integrate MeasureSquare CRM with Zapier, automating the process of creating contacts and deals in MeasureSquare when a new contact is added to Google Contacts.

Creating an Access Token in MeasureSquare CRM

To enable Zapier to interact with your MeasureSquare CRM account, you'll first need to generate an access token.

Step 1: Access Profile Setting
Hover over the top-right avatar and click Profile in the dropdown menu to open the profile settings interface.

Step 2: Generate a New Access Token
In the left sidebar, navigate to "Access Tokens" and click "New Access Token". Enter a descriptive token name and click Create.

Step 3: Copy and Save the Access Token
After the token is generated, copy it and store it securely, as you will need it during the Zapier integration process.

Building a Zap in Zapier

In this section, you'll set up a Zap that automatically creates a contact and a corresponding deal in MeasureSquare CRM whenever a new contact is added to Google Contacts.

Step 1: Sign Up or Log In
If you haven't already, visit Zapier to register for an account.

Step 2: Create a New Zap
Log into your Zapier account, click the "Create" button, and then select "Zaps" from the left top sidebar.

Step 3: Configure the Trigger

The trigger is the event that initiates the Zap. For this example, the trigger is a new contact being added to Google Contacts.

Step 3-1: Click Trigger

Step 3-2: Choose Google Contacts

In the search app bar, type "Google Contacts" and select it from the drop down list.

Step 3-3: Select New Contact Event

Choose the "New Contact" event, and then click the "Continue" button.

Step 3-4: Authenticate with Google

Click "Sign In" to connect your Google account. Grant the necessary permissions for Zapier to access your Google Contacts data.

Once done, click the continue button below to proceed to the next step.

Step 3-5: Test the Trigger

Click "Test Trigger" to verify that Zapier can detect new contacts in your Google account. If prompted, select a sample contact record and click "Continue with selected record."

If you don't see any contact options, go to Google Contacts to add a contact, wait a few minutes, and click "Find new records".

Step 4: Add MeasureSquare CRM Create Contact Action
Actions are the events a Zap performs after it is triggered. This step will guide you through creating a "MeasureSquare CRM Create Contact" action.

Step 4-1: Click Action

Step 4-2: Choose MeasureSquare CRM App

In the search app bar, type "MeasureSquare" and select it from the drop down list.

Step 4-3: Select Create Contact Event

Choose the "Create Contact" event, and then click "Continue."

Step 4-4: Connect to MeasureSquare CRM

Click "Sign in"

Paste the access token you generated earlier in the provided field. Click "Yes, Continue to MeasureSquare CRM" to authorize the connection.

Once connected, proceed to the next step.

Step 4-5: Map Fields and Test Action

Map the corresponding fields from the Google Contacts trigger to the MeasureSquare CRM contact fields.
Click "Continue" when finished.

Step 4-6: Test Create Contact Action

Finally, click "Test Step" to ensure the contact creation action works correctly. If successful, you should see the new contact in MeasureSquare CRM, populated with data from the Google Contacts trigger.

Step 5: Add MeasureSquare CRM Create Deal Action

Next, you'll add a "MeasureSquare CRM Create Deal" action to associate a deal with the newly created contact.

Step 5-1: Add Another Action

Click the "+" icon to add another action to your Zap.

Step 5-2: Choose MeasureSquare CRM App

Search for and select the MeasureSquare CRM app again.

Step 5-3: Choose Create Deal Event

Choose the "Create Deal" event, and then click "Continue."

Step 5-4: Connect to MeasureSquare CRM Account

Since you've already authenticated with MeasureSquare CRM in the previous step, you can skip connecting your account this time.

Step 5-5: Map Fields

Map the necessary fields from the Google Contacts trigger and the previously created MeasureSquare CRM contact to the corresponding deal fields. Click "Continue" when finished.

Step 5-6: Test Action

Click "Test Step" to confirm the deal creation action works successfully. If all goes well, you should see the new deal associated with the contact in MeasureSquare CRM.

Step 6: Enable the Zap

If all steps have executed successfully, you're now ready to activate your Zap. Click "Publish" in the Zap editor or enable it from the Zap list later. Once the Zap is live, any new contacts added to Google Contacts will automatically generate a corresponding contact and deal in MeasureSquare CRM.
