How to set random tiles by percentage with a herringbone pattern in MeasureSquare 8
In this article, we're going to show you how to set the random tiles with the the herringbone pattern.
This article applies to Windows MeasureSquare 8.
Step 1: Create the herringbone pattern
Note: Make sure when connecting the tiles, you move them by clicking and dragging the red handles of the edge that will be touching the second tile (shown in the screenshot), and then snapping them to each other.
If you do not see a pattern appear on the right side panel, the tiles are not connected properly or it is not a repeatable pattern yet.
Step 2:
- Under Patterns > View/Modify Details, please right-click on the herringbone pattern
- Click Edit to add the other 2 tiles
- Click on Add, then
- Select the tile(s), and
- Select percentages for each tile
- Click OK > Save
Important! When using Random Tiles to create a Random Tile Pattern by %, the software cannot apply the calculations settings of Half Reuse, Cut & Fit, and No Reuse. If any of these 3 are selected, the software will still calculate as "Waste Add-on"
