How Do I Use Half Reuse for Tile Calc Method?
In this article, we will be going over all the estimating settings for Half Reuse.
This article applies to all MeasureSquare products.
What is Half Reuse?
- The ability for a tile to be cut in half and be placed somewhere else if there is 50% or more of the tile remaining.
Additional Percent is equivalent to "Attic Stock" which is an extra percentage you want to add the calculated waste ratio.
Minimum Waste is if the additional waste + calculated waste is smaller than the Minimum Waste ratio, it will use the Minimum Waste Ratio on the report.
An example would be if we set our minimum waste to be 10% and our product is coming out to 5% the program knows to round up to the minimum that we have set in the product information.
When you have your tile thrown into a room you will see where the tiles are being cut if you have the 'Tile Cut' option turned on like shown below in the corners.
If you need to turn this on you can go to the 'Options' drop down menu and select 'Tile Cut' at the bottom of the list.
