What to do if I got the error: "Upload project error. ProjectId: xxx. Cannot read that as a zipFile" when I sync my projects on MeasureSquare Mobile

In this article, you will learn how to solve the error: "Upload project error. ProjectId: xxx. Cannot read that as a zipFile" when I sync my projects on MeasureSquare Mobile

Warning
The likely reason for this error could be related to how the user handles a shared MeasureSquare project file (.fez) received via email (e.g., Outlook). If the user saves the file to their local iPad file folder and then attempts to open it directly from the folder instead of using the MeasureSquare app, this issue may occur.

Notes
The correct way to open a shared MeasureSquare project via email is
Step 1: tap the share icon at the upper right corner . Step 2: click "share file via..." from the option. Step 3: choose MeasureSqr as the app to open the file.

Solution for Resolving This Issue if Encountered Accidentally:

Step 1:  Write down the project ID from the error notification.

Step 2: Locate the problematical Project File
  1. Open the Files app on your iPad.
  2. Navigate to On My iPad from the left sidebar.
  3. Select the MeasureSquare folder.
  4. Open the folder named after your MeasureSquare ID (the email address you use to sign in).
  5. Go to the Projects folder.
  6. Use the search bar at the top to find the problematic project file by entering the Project ID.

Step 5: Return to the MeasureSquare app on your iPad, search for the project file by its name, and delete it.

Step 6: Tap Sync on your MeasureSquare app. This ensures the project files are saved correctly on both the MeasureSquare app and MeasureSquare Cloud.
