Quotes and Bids are often used interchangeably but have some subtle differences. Both quotes and bids are essential tools within the MeasureSquare CRM for managing sales processes and project proposals, and understanding their differences can help streamline your interactions with clients.

Quotes
  1. A formal statement provided to potential clients specifying the estimated cost for specific products or services
  2. Used for small-scale projects
  3. Often generated quickly to give clients an immediate understanding of the costs associated with a job
Notes
In MeasureSquare CRM, Quotes show the product item details but don't show the breakdown of items by trade or different groups




Bids
  1. A more detailed proposal often used for larger projects, especially in competitive scenarios
  2. Involves a detailed breakdown of costs, timelines, and project scope
