Setting Up the M2 Field iOS App (Beta)

Setting Up the M2 Field iOS App (Beta)

M2 Field is the on-site companion app for MeasureSquare CRM. It gives your team access to jobs, diagrams, work orders, installation schedules, and clock in/out — from the field.

M2 Field is currently in beta and available on iPhone and iPad only, distributed through Apple TestFlight.

There are two ways people get into the app:

  • You and your staff — anyone with a MeasureSquare CRM login installs the app and signs in with their existing CRM credentials.
  • Your installers — subcontractors and crew members who don't have a CRM subscription need to be added in CRM and invited to the Field app first.

Both paths are covered below.

Before you start

  • An iPhone or iPad (Android is not supported yet)
  • The TestFlight app from the App Store — this is how Apple distributes beta apps
  • A MeasureSquare CRM login, or an invitation from your company's CRM administrator

Part 1 — For MeasureSquare CRM users

Step 1: Scan the QR code

Scan the QR code below with your iPhone or iPad camera. It opens the M2 Field beta invitation in TestFlight.

If you don't have TestFlight installed yet, the link will prompt you to download it from the App Store first. Install TestFlight, then scan the code again.

Step 2: Install M2 Field

In TestFlight, tap Accept, then tap Install. M2 Field will appear on your home screen like any other app.

Step 3: Sign in with your CRM credentials

Open M2 Field and sign in using the same email and password you use for MeasureSquare CRM. There is no separate account to create.

Step 4: You're in

Once signed in, you'll have access to:

  • Jobs — job details, customer info, and job status
  • Diagrams — measurement diagrams tied to the job
  • Work Orders — assigned work orders and their details
  • Installation Schedule — what's scheduled and when
  • Clock In / Clock Out — time tracking against jobs and work orders

Part 2 — For installers without a CRM subscription

Installers don't need their own CRM subscription. Instead, a CRM administrator adds them as an installer and sends them an invitation to the Field app.

Installers who join this way will only see the jobs and work orders assigned to them, and can only clock in and out of those assigned jobs and work orders.

Step 1: Add the installer in CRM

In MeasureSquare CRM, go to Installers and add the installer if they aren't already there.

Step 2: Add the installer's email address

Open the installer's record and make sure the Email field is filled in. This is where the invitation will be sent, and it's also the login the installer will use — without it, the invite can't be sent.

Step 3: Invite them to the Field app

On the installer's record, click the three dots (•••) in the top right and choose Invite to Field.

The installer will receive an invitation email at the address on their record.

Step 4: The installer installs the app and signs in

The installer follows the same steps as Part 1: scan the QR code, install TestFlight and M2 Field, then sign in using the email address on their installer record and the credentials from their invitation email.
