Object Reference Not Set To An Instance Of Object

This article will cover some ways to address the "Object Reference Not Set To An Instance Of Object" error 


This article applies to MeasureSquare iPad version

  When met with this error while trying to sync, there are a few methods you can try to resolve it.
Note: These Features only work on iPad

Method 1: Ensure Your Measure Square Is Up To Date

The first method we can try is checking to see if our Measure Square is running on the latest version. 
Step 1:  Log in to your App Store, and search MeasureSquare Mobile

 If the MeasureSquare Mobile app displays Open to the right of the preview, it is up do date. If it displays, Update tap on it to bring MeasureSquare up the latest version. 






Method 2: Force Close The Application

The second method we can try is a manual force close and reopening of the application. 
Step 1: 
 Double press the home button on your iPad device, this will bring up all of your active applications. 

Step 2: 
 Press and swipe up on the MeasureSquare application to force close and dismiss it. Reopen Measure Square.

Method 3: Log out, and back into MeasureSquare 

Step 1: 
Tap on the account menu in the upper left hand corner of your diagrams page.  



Step 2: Swipe down to the bottom of the menu. and tap Logout.




Step 3:  Log back in to MeasureSquare using your MeasureSquare ID.

Method 4: Restart The iPad

Step 1: Hold down the power button at the top right of the iPad
Step 2: Swipe to power off.
