MeasureSquare 8 Plan Comparison feature list

In this article we will show you how to use the plan comparison feature and cover where to find the menu options and what each of them mean

Note: You can set your highlighter color to your desired combination.

Step 1: Import your original plan and your revised plan to the same tab and ensure scale is set.
Step 2: Select both plans by holding ctrl then left clicking on each plan. When selected the blue border will become red
Step 3: Right click on either plan to access the comparison options



Step 4: Toggle or toggle off show overlay floor plan (shown in image above with blue checkmark). When toggled on, this option will highlight differences with a specific color designating the different plans. When toggled off, the comparison will instead use red cloud mark-ups on each plan to show the differences

Step 5: Align plan is a great way to manually overlap your plans. This allows for comparisons between different paper sizes or formats, so long as the scale is the same.
Step 6: Compare selected floor plans is a quick way to automatically overlap and compare your plans. The alignment takes place left to right and top to bottom based off the paper size and not the drawings contained within.
Step 7: You can additionally import a plan to compare. This allows you to import a plan and compare it with your current plan in a single step. 
Step 8: Select another floorplan to swap allows you to insert your new plan in place with your existing plan. This can be useful if you need to update your drawn rooms, as they will not be on top of the new plan image image.
