In this article we will show a couple examples of how and when to use the layout direction tool to match your diagram to the preferred install method

Step 1: Click on the Layout Direction Tool in either Area Takeoff or Room Takeoff

Step 2: Click on one point, then move your mouse to orient as needed. Click again to lock in the layout direction

Alternate Use 1: Hover over any wall to align the direction of material in the room to match lengthwise with the selected wall

Alternate Use 2: Snap to 45° to create diamond patterns or for unique coverage areas
