How to use the Segment line tool outside of rooms in MeaureSquare 8?
This article will show you how to use the segment tool on commercial software for meauresquare8.
This article applies to MeasureSquare 8 Build 7232 & newer.
1. Segments can be split by the "Split Wall Segment" command.
If you need to split your segment you can do so by accessing the “Split Wall Segment” tool and left-click over the segment to apply a split.
2. Connected Segments can be merged by the "Merge Rooms" command.
To merge your segments together highlight the segments by holding down the Crtl button on your keyboard and left-clicking on the segments. Or you can lasso all the needed segments to select all. Then from the Shape section click on RmEdit > Merge rooms. Now you can apply a product to all the segments with one movement.
3. The start and end section of a segment can be deleted independently.
Hover over the segment end you wish to delete and right-click. Select delete.
4. Multi-Segments in the diagram can be moved together now.
To move multiple segments at the same time you can lasso all the segments. Once all segments are highlighted you can left-click and hold, and move the segments all together to your desired location.
5. Segment Line appearance and thickness.
Change the segment line appearance including thickness by accessing the property view panel. Expand the panel, select the segment line,and select Line Pen. This will show you the editing window for Thickness, DashStyle and Color.
