How to turn on and use the Auto Dye-Lot Feature on measuresquare 8

In this article we will go over how to turn on the Auto Dye-Lot feature and address what that looks like from the cut sheet. This feature is intended to assist in grouping cuts in the same and connected rooms for better creation of pick lists, and using existing inventory for installation.

This article applies to measuresquare 8

To enable the Auto Dye-Lot feature, click on File - System Setting, in the popup window, select Advanced tab, in the Estimation group, toggle on Auto Dye Lot For Roll Products

If this option is ON, the cuts will be assigned a dye lot automatically based on their connection in rooms and cut sheets.

Note: Cuts in the same room from the takeoff screen, as well as any cuts that are stacked vertically in the cut sheet, will always be updated to the same dye-lot

The dye lot is displayed in ( ) with the cut in both diagram and cut sheet.

The property view can be accessed from the column that is sometimes collapsed on the right

The dye lot can be changed in the property view by selecting the cut from the takeoff tab.
