In this article we will show you how to toggle on and off deduct floor and walls for elevation. This feature is helpful if youre installing your flooring product before the millwork. 

Note: To enable the checkboxes for Deduct Ground, Deduct Walls, and Is Recess, the elevation must be created inside an existing room. If you create the elevation outside the room and then move it into the room, these checkbox options will not appear.

This also explains the color difference in the elevation borders:

A grey border indicates that the elevation was created directly within the room. As a result, the options for Deduct Ground, Deduct Walls, and Is Recess will be available.

A light purple border means the elevation was initially created outside the room and later moved inside. In this case, the checkboxes for Deduct Ground, Deduct Walls, and Is Recess will NOT be available.
