Step 1: Open the Slab Optimizer

1. Open your project in MeasureSquare Stone.
2. Click the Slab Optimizer tab in the top navigation bar.
   

Step 2: Select a Slab Size Mode

In the upper-left corner of the Slab Optimizer, locate the mode toggle button. Click it to switch between Fixed Slab Sizes and Flexible Slab Sizes.

Step 3: Configure Fixed Slab Sizes (if applicable)

If you selected Fixed Slab Sizes mode (see Screenshot 1):

1. A slab table appears in the left panel with three columns: Length, Width, and Qty(ea).
2. Click the duplicate icon to add a row, then enter the Length and Width of each slab size you are using.
   
3. In the Qty(ea) column, enter the number of slabs available for that size.
   • Note: If you are not limited by quantity, leave the Qty(ea) column blank. The Slab Optimizer will treat that slab size as having unlimited availability.
4. Repeat for each additional slab size. Use the delete (X) icon to remove any row.
   

Step 4: Configure Flexible Slab Sizes (if applicable)

If you selected Flexible Slab Sizes mode (see Screenshot 2):

1. The slab table is replaced by the following fields in the left panel:
   • Slab Length — Enter the minimum and maximum allowable slab length (e.g., 6'0" – 12'0").
   • Slab Width — Enter the minimum and maximum allowable slab width (e.g., 3'0" – 6'0").
   • Step Depth — Enter the increment size the Slab Optimizer will use when iterating through possible slab dimensions within the defined range (e.g., 6").
   • Multiple Slab Sizes — Use the dropdown to set the maximum number of different slab sizes the Slab Optimizer is allowed to use in its layout calculation.
2. The Slab Optimizer will automatically evaluate all slab size combinations within your defined parameters to find the most efficient cut layout.
   

After configuring your slab size settings, click Start Cut to run the Slab Optimizer with the selected mode.
