How to rotate a Stairway in MeasureSquare 8?
1. Select the stairway and click Rotate
On the Takeoff tab, click the stairway on the drawing canvas to select it. Then click Rotate in the Shape Edit group on the ribbon.
2. Set the rotation reference line
Click the first point on the stairway (1), then click a second point (2) to define the reference line (pointed arrow) the rotation will be based on.
3. Rotate to the desired angle
Move your mouse to swing the reference line. The red line and the stairway preview show the new orientation. When the stairway is positioned the way you want (for example, horizontal), click to confirm.
Notice that the broken line appears when rotating to a 45 or 90 degree angle.
4. Review the result
The stairway is now rotated. The direction arrows and dimension labels (for example, 11" x 8 and 42") update to the new orientation.
