How to Resolve the "Cannot Find Diagram Estimation" or "Bad Request" Error in MeasureSquare CRM

In this article, we will walk you through why the "Cannot Find Diagram Estimation" or "Bad Request" error appears when importing a diagram into MeasureSquare CRM, and how to resolve it. 

What Causes This Error

This error occurs when one or more fields in the diagram being imported exceed the character limits enforced by MeasureSquare CRM. When a field is over the limit, the diagram import fails and CRM is unable to link an estimation to that record.

The fields and their character limits are:

  • Item Name — 100 characters
  • Room Name — 100 characters
  • Tab Name — 100 characters
  • Item Description — 500 characters

Below is an example of how this error appears in CRM:



To resolve this issue:


  1. Open the diagram in MeasureSquare 8 or MeasureSquare Mobile before re-importing it into MeasureSquare CRM.

  2. Review the Item Name, Room Name, and Tab Name fields, and shorten any that are 100 characters or more.

  3. Review the Item Description field, and shorten any that are 500 characters or more.

  4. Save the diagram, then re-import it into MeasureSquare CRM.
