How to Move Current Project Items into Product Database in MeasureSquare 8

This article will guide you through the process of saving products from your current project into your product database in MeasureSquare 8. This allows you to reuse project-specific products in future projects without re-entering the information manually.


Steps to Move Current Project Items into Product Database

Step 1: Open the Product/Service Panel and Access Import/Export

  • In the Product/Service panel on the left side of the screen, right-click on any product listed under Product/Services.
  • In the context menu, hover over Import/Export to expand the submenu.
  • Select Export MeasureSquare Product File to export your current project items as a product file (.mspd).

Step 2: Open Product Catalogs

  • In the Product/Service panel, click the Product Catalogs icon at the top of the panel (the grid/catalog icon).
  • The Product Catalogs window will open, displaying a list of your existing product databases.

Step 3: Import the Exported File into Your Product Database

  • In the Product Catalogs window, click the Import icon (folder with arrow icon) in the toolbar.
  • Browse to the location where you saved the exported product file and select it.
  • Click OK to confirm and import the products into your selected product database.
