In this article, we're going to show you how to draw a room with a border material that expands into a off shoots or another rooms.

You will typically do this when you have a hallway that has a different flooring product which wraps around the perimeter, and the hallway has off shoots that use the perimeter flooring product in them.
Step 1: Start by drawing out your hallway, the extra off shoots will branch out from the hallway.

Note: Products can be added before or after all the drawing is complete, they are added here for greater clarity. Step 2: Create your boarders, to do this
Right Click [1] in your room/hallway and select
Create Border Dividers [2].
In the
Create Border Dividers menu you have the ability to select the product that your border will be made out of. You can change the width as well.
Step 3: Once you have your border created you then
Right Click [1] go to
Room Edit and select
Split Wall Segment [2]
Step 4: Using the
Split Wall Segment tool
you
click on the wall on each side of the opening you want to create. Once you have split the wall where your openings are you then
Right Click to close the tool.Step 5: Select the room you will see the wall is split, you can then
extend your openings by clicking and dragging the diamonds in the middle.
