How to Edit Tabs (Name, Color, and Duplication) in MeasureSquare 8

This article explains how to edit a tab's Name, Color, and Duplication settings in MeasureSquare 8. Tabs represent the different floors or areas of your project. Use this feature to rename a tab, color-code it for easier identification, or create duplicate copies of it.

Steps to Edit a Tab

Step 1: Locate the Tab

  • Tabs appear at the bottom of the screen and in the Tab View panel on the right side of the workspace.
  • To open the Tab View panel, click the expand arrow next to Tab View in the lower-right corner. 

Step 2: Open the Edit Tab Window

  • Right-click the tab you want to edit — either at the bottom of the screen or in the Tab View panel.
  • Select Edit Tab from the menu.

Step 3: Edit the Tab Settings

  • In the Edit Tab window, update any of the following: (see Screenshot 1)
    • Name – Enter a new name for the tab (for example, 3rd Floor).
    • Color – Choose a color to help identify the tab.
    • Duplication – Enter the number of copies to create of this tab.
  • Click OK to save your changes.
