How to crop an imported plan and keep the scale of the original plan in MeasureSquare 8
This article applies to MeasureSquare 8 Build 1.0.11.6971 and newer.
This article will show you how to crop an imported plan and keep the original set scale. When cropping an image from a floor plan at the “Import” Window, it will keep the scale of the original plan and apply it to the cropped image.
This feature only works when you select a blueprint scale or use “two-points” to scale a floor plan. If the original plan is “Scale on Horizontally Only” or “Scale on Vertical Only”, the program won't apply the original scale to the cropped image.
Step1: Import your plan in MeasureSquare 8. Click on the Import Icon > Locate and Select your PDF > Click Ok.
Step 2: Scale your plan to size. Locate your scale legend on your plan and scale the plan to size.
Step 3: Crop your plan. Use the crop tool to crop out the selected portion of the plan. As you crop out each section, MeasureSquare 8 will build out a list on the right hand side with the set scale, previously selected for each plan. Once you are done cropping click Import to new tab.
Step 4: Import to New Tab. Your plan is now imported and both the original and cropped plans are scaled to the set size. Each cropped section is imported to its own tab.
This article includes a video guide showing you a step by step guide.
*Notes: This feature only works when you select a blueprint scale or use “two-points” to scale a floor plan. If the original plan is “Scale on Horizontally Only” or “Scale on Vertical Only”, the program won't apply the original scale to the cropped image.
IF check box shown below is "checked", feature will not work.
