In this article, we will show you how to create a Bundle in MeasureSquare CRM. Bundles allow you to pre-configure a complete scope of work — materials, underlayment, installation, floor prep, and more — all tied together in one package. Each item inside the bundle uses a quantity formula based on {net_area}, so the system calculates everything automatically when you enter the room area.
Bundles are extremely useful when you're not using the takeoff tool. Whether you're quoting off rough measurements, pricing a quick budget estimate, bidding from a simple room size provided by a GC, or doing residential quotes where you just have dimensions — you simply enter the room area and the system calculates material quantities, waste, underlayment, and labor automatically. You can then import Bundles directly into a Quote to generate quick quotations.
Navigating to Bundles
Step 1: Under Products module, click on Bundles. You will see a list of any pre-created Bundles here, including their name, description, creator, and creation date.
Step 2: Click the New Bundle button in the top-right corner
Step 3: Fill in the Bundle details:
Name — Enter the name of your Bundle (e.g., Broadloom Carpet Installation - Glue Down)
Quantity — Select one of the following options from the dropdown:
Unit — Select the unit of measurement from the dropdown
Description — Add a brief description of the Bundle's scope of work
Step 4: Under the Items section, click the Select Product dropdown
A search panel will appear where you can search within your Products and Price Books. Select the product you want to add to the Bundle.
Step 5: For each item, set the Unit and enter the Quantity Formula
The Quantity Formula determines how the system calculates the quantity for each item based on the room area. Use {net_area} as the variable in your formulas.
Example Quantity Formulas:
Step 6: To add more items, click + Add Item and repeat Steps 5–6
Step 7: Once all items are added, click Save
Your new Bundle is now created and will appear in the Bundles list. You can import this Bundle into any Quote to generate quick quotations by simply entering the room area.
Importing a Bundle into a Quote
Step 8: Open or create a Quote. In the Item Details section, click the Bundle icon (next to the item dropdown)
Step 9: Enter the room net area, and the system will automatically calculate all item quantities based on the formulas defined in the Bundle
