How to Create a Backsplash with Scalloped or Rounded Edges in MeasureSquare Stone

In this article, we will walk you through how to create a backsplash with scalloped or rounded edges in MeasureSquare Stone.

Split the top edge of the backsplash:
  1. In the takeoff, draw the area and assign a backsplash to it.

  1. Right-click the backsplash and select Split Edge Segment by Distance.

  1. In the Split Edge Segment by Distance window, enter the Distance (for example, 5") and click OK, then apply it to the top edge of the backsplash.

Move the segments down:
  1. Move the outer segments down to create the stepped edge. Click the edge length highlighted below and enter the new length (in this example, 8").

Round the corners:

  1. Right-click the main area and select Area Edit > Round Corner.

  1. Enter the corner radius.

  2. Apply the rounded corner to the segments. The corner turns into a curve, as shown by the arrow below.

ℹ️ Note: The distance, segment length, and corner radius above are examples. Enter the values that match your design.
