How to avoid details missing when importing PDFs to MeasureSquare Stone?

In this article, we will show you how to avoid details missing when you import plans by adjusting import settings and/or using a 3rd party importer-GhostScript.

First option; Toggle different combinations of tiff, png & color format. If this does not improve the quality. See the following steps to install & use GhostScript Import.

*** Tips for losing details after plans are imported *** 


To minimize the project file size, it defaults the image color format to monochrome (black & white). However, if you lose some details after converting images, such as textures of product or furniture, you can change the color format to grayscale to preserve the details. Tiff will pull in more details which will take longer to load. Grayscale it suggested for pulling in more detail.




Installing 3rd party Ghost Script Importer

Step 1: Visit https://www.ghostscript.com/  Click Link



Step 2: Select Ghost Script



Step 3: Download 64 bit version



Step 4: Download & install Ghost Script. This does not involve MeasureSquare 8 till the next step.

Step 5: Open MeasureSquare 8 & select file to import

Step 6: Select the gear icon & the New icon at the top left. Then select yes for GhostScript



Step 7: Select OK & then continue normal import process
