Steps to Apply a Linear Product to a Tile Grid
Step 1: Create & Select a Tile Grid
- Open your project and ensure a tile grid is applied to the room layout.
- In the Product Items section, verify that the tile product is listed (e.g., "LVT").
- Refer to the screenshot below for an example of a tile grid applied to a room.
Step 2: Create a Linear Product
- Navigate to the Product/Service section in the left panel.
- Right-click and select New Product to create a linear product (e.g., "Weld Rod").
- In the product creation window:
- Check the box for Is Addon.
- Click Save to finalize the product creation.
Step 3: Associate the Linear Product with the Tile Grid
- Select the tile grid pattern from the Patterns section in the Product Items panel.
- In the pattern editing window:
- Use the Grout Product dropdown to select the newly created linear product (e.g., "Weld Rod").
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Grout Width is set to 0" to maximize Tile quantities since Weld Rod is being quantified for Tile Grid.
Step 4: Verify the Linear Product Application
- Check the Product Items section to confirm that the linear product is now associated with the tile grid.
- The usage of the linear product will be calculated based on the tile grid dimensions.
