How do I set layout directions for roll goods at the project level in MeasureSquare Mobile for iPad?

In this article, we will show you how to set layout directions for roll goods and other products

This article applies to MeasureSquare Mobile App for IOS

Here are some helpful instructions to help make sure your material is laid out the way it needs to be, to help find where fill pieces might go, and to help visualize code compliance.

NOTE: Seam placement is best done manually. It is easy to use the program to see and manipulate the seams and roll pieces, however, natural light, doorways, high traffic areas, etc. are not taken into account by our program calculations

Method 1: 

Alert: This method is specific to Carpet and Vinyl only

Step 1: Tap on the Estimate button found at the on the screen and select Set Horizontal Layout or Set Vertical Layout. 

Step 2: Select which roll goods you would like to change the layout direction for

Note: If a room has had their seam adjusted with Method 2 Set Layout Direction, then MeasureSquare Mobile assumes that room is set as intended and will not alter any areas where set layout direction has been used

Method 2:

Step 1: Tap on the Estimate button found at the on the screen and select Set Layout Direction.

Step 2: Tap in the area with your material, then drag to adjust the direction. Release when you are ready to apply changes
