This applies to MeasureSquare Mobile for iPad Build 2.9.6 and newer.
Syncing when internet is not available may cause some users to experience a break between their account, and their projects. This error usually persists until you either close the program, or log out and log back in (this will require internet). After doing this, some users have reported that their projects have disappeared from the project list in the Home screen.
To retrieve your projects, follow these steps:
1. Open the Files app. This app should already be installed by default; if it is not installed, you may download the App Store.
2. In the Files app, please navigate to Browse -> On My iPad -> MeasureSqr -> [Your MeasureSquare ID] -> Projects. There, you may locate all project files (shown below) associated with your ID. We recommend checking the timestamp to see which files could be the correct ones, then emailing the project files to yourself on a computer so it can then be uploaded to MeasureSquare Cloud.
2.a You may alternatively Move the file to a location such as On my iPad, or anywhere outside the MeasureSquare folder, so that you may tap on it to open it again with MeasureSquare Mobile.
Important: Files will not open when they are inside the MeasureSquare folder and will have their project name overwritten by the string of letters and numbers that are shown as the file name.
3. In the situation that you cannot locate the file, you can navigate through Browse -> On My iPad -> MeasureSqr -> Anonymous. MeasureSquare will sometimes create this folder and store projects not associated with a MeasureSquare ID/email there.
If the project still cannot be found, then it is most likely unrecoverable and will need to be redone.
