How Do I Edit & Import My Excel Database File Into MeasureSquare 8?

In this article, we're going to show you how to export & import a database from MeasureSquare 8 to excel in order to edit that database and copy and paste data from another excel database.

For all versions of MeasureSquare 8


To import your own products into MeasureSquare 8, we recommend exporting an existing product catalog from MeasureSquare first. This will ensure that you have the correct Excel table format, make it easier to add your own products to the Excel sheet and letting you import the file back into MeasureSquare 8 without issue. The steps are below.

1. First, export the a MeasureSquare database excel which will serve as your template. Right click on your Product/Services folder, then click Import/Export> Export MeasureSquare Excel File. Pick a location to save your file



2. Open the exported MeasureSquare Excel file that you saved earlier, then have the MeasureSquare and your own Excel files open side by side. Now start copy your products over from your file to the MeasureSquare Excel file, making sure to put your products in the right columns. Use Fill Color for the Color column and save the new file after you are done mapping over your products.



3. Open your MeasureSquare software and right click on Product/Services, then click on Import/Export >Import MeasureSquare Excel File. Select the MeasureSquare Excel file that you saved and open it.
