How do I draw an internal/pony wall in MeasureSquare Stone?

This article explains how to draw an internal wall (also known as a pony wall) inside an existing room in MeasureSquare Stone. It also covers keyboard shortcuts available while drawing: switching the wall drawing line position and drawing an arc wall.

Steps to Draw an Internal Wall

Step 1: Draw Wall tool

  • In the toolbar, click RmEdit, then select Draw Wall from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Draw the Wall Inside a Room

  • Click inside an existing room to set the starting point of the wall.
  • Move your cursor in the desired direction and click to set additional points.
  • Right-click to complete and exit the draw wall mode.

Step 3: Switch the Drawing Line Position (Press S)

  • While actively drawing a wall, press the S key on your keyboard to switch the position of draw line starting point: center, left, or right.
    • Center – The reference line runs along the middle of the wall thickness.
    • Left / Right – The reference line aligns to one edge of the wall, which affects how the wall snaps and aligns to existing boundaries.

Step 4: Draw an Arc Wall (Press R)

  • While in Draw Wall mode, press the R key to switch to arc drawing mode.
  • Click to define the arc's path. A circular preview will appear to guide the arc shape.

Notes
Note: When in the draw wall mode and currently drawing a wall, you can press "S" on the keyboard to shift the orientation of the wall in relation to the cursor. For example, if you would like to draw from the middle,  or align to the left or the right.
