How to Draw an Arc Room in MeasureSquare 8

This article explains how to draw a room with curved (arc) walls in MeasureSquare 8. Use this feature when a room or space has a rounded or semi-circular boundary, such as a bay area, curved alcove, or circular room.

Steps to Draw an Arc Room

  1. click the Draw button on the toolbar to enter Draw room mode.
  2. Click to place your starting point on the canvas and begin drawing the room outline as normal.
  3. When you reach the segment where you want a curved wall, press the R key on the keyboard to switch to arc drawing mode. The cursor will update to show arc preview geometry with radius indicators. (See Screenshot 1)
    • Tip: The status bar at the bottom of the screen confirms: "R for arc or circle." You can press R again to toggle back to straight-line mode at any time during the same room.
  4. Click to set the arc endpoint. Right-click to complete and close the room.

The finished room will display the curved boundary in the plan view.
