How do I create and use room templates in MeasureSquare 8?

In this article, we will go over how to save a commonly-used room as a template, and use it in future projects in order to save time.

This article applies to MeasureSquare 8.

When working on a project, you will notice that there are room types that are repeated across different projects. One example is a shower; it is not unusual for showers to share similar shapes and layouts.

By creating a common shower and saving it as a template, it may save you time since you can simply add the template to a project and only need to adjust a few things.

Here is a shower with pony wall and niche that we will use for this example:

1. Create your room.

2. To save the shower as a room template, right-click on it and select Add Room Template.

3. You can see that this shower is then added to the list of Room Templates at left. Simply click and drag the template to the takeoff screen to in order to use it.
