Pertains to MeasureSquare 8 Desktop Versions. In this article we will cover using the elevation tool to takeoff a curved stair or curved stair insert.

1. Import the reference PDF to Takeoff tab

2. Use elevation tool in toolbar and left click to start drawing

3. press r (don't hold) on keyboard to enter arc mode

4. left click at the end point of the arc to build the curve

5. hold down shift and draw the angled edge of the insert

6. enter arc mode again to draw the back curve of the step

7. Close out elevation by left clicking start point

expand properties and enter in tread height

Click View Wall

Apply product to front face and top of elevation

copy step

paste above the original elevation

Resize step as needed to decrease size up the staircase

Repeat until stairway is complete
