Steps to Understand Room and Object Relationships
Step 1: Identify Room Boundaries
- the entire area that highlights with red handles along the perimeter when clicked is considered one room
Note: Elevations will also highlight with red handles along the perimeter when clicked. Elevations may also contain some of the other objects in the same way a room does
Step 2: Identify Objects
-[1] Elevation
- [2] Count Type Product
- [3] Note
- [4] Stamp
Notice the Purple Border for the Outside Elevation
Step 3: Inside VS Outside
- The Inside
- These Objects were created within the confines of the Room
- The Outside
- These Objects were created outside the confines of the Room, then dragged and dropped into place
Step 4: Differences in behavior
- The behavior for all Inside Objects is the same
- The behavior for all Outside Objects is the same
- When an object is moved outside the confines of the Room
- Inside Objects will be deleted
- Outside Objects will be placed in the Outside Location
Note: For Outside Objects, they can be dragged to an empty area or another room. If placed into another room, they will again be considered as an Outside Object
- Outside Elevations Specifics
- Walls and Floor are not deducted when Product is added in these areas
- Outside Count type Product Specifics
- Count type product will not show up in reports being listed where other products in Rm1 can be found
